Within our Foundation Stage at Marlborough Primary School, we recognise that every child is a competent learner who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. We recognise that children develop in individual ways and at varying rates. Children's attitudes and dispositions to learning are influenced from feedback from others; we use encouragement to support children in developing a positive attitude to learning. The EYFS recognises that “Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured."
The unique child reaches out to relate to people and things through the characteristics of effective learning, which move through the areas of learning:
- playing and exploring,
- active learning,
- creating and thinking critically.
You will also find information on outdoor learning.
